Here are some photos from Thursday night when we went out for Mexican food at the restaurant Mucho Mas and some drinks at Aku-Aku, my favourite bar in Oslo.

 

If you have a boyfriend who works offshore and is away weeks at a time, you have to be flexible when it comes to birthdays and other special days that you want to celebrate. This year he couldn't make it for Valentine's Day, so we decided to have a belated celebration when he comes home. I love to celebrate things, so I can't just miss an occasion!

 

We had a wonderful evening, with sushi, champagne, chocolates and a beautiful chocolate cake from Pascal. Their cakes are to die for! I bought a gift pack with a heart shaped chocolate box filled with pralines for my love. He got it under one condition, that I was allowed to help him to eat the choclate.

 

On Sunday we are travelling to Switzerland and the Alps for a week of downhill skiing. We are heading for the cosy village Zermatt, where Matterhorn, the Toblerone mountain is located. I'm so excited! :-) My first trip to the Alps.

So, what have I been doing since last time... Not that much actually. :-) I have been skiing a little. Together with some colleagues from work I went out on the annual "moonlight tour". During the tour we ski up to a cabin called Løvlia and back. We reached the cabin just before sunset and had dinner together, before skiing down to the parking lot again. The whole round trip is about 30 kilometers, so it's good excercise! This year the weather was perfect! The sky was clear and we were skiing in the moonlight on the way back.

 

I have had such a nice weekend. :-) I spent it together with the girls at Quality Hotel & Resort in Son. We had booked an overnight package with dinner and wine tasting. The Swedish wine expert Christer Berens thought us about wine, while we enjoyed a three course dinner with trout, duck and creme brûlée. 

We also had time to relax in the SPA and the hot outdoor jacuzzi was my favourite.

Last weekend we went to Kongsberg Ski Resort and had a day full of downhill skiing. We were lucky with the weather and could enjoy a clear blue sky as a nice contrast to the white surroundings.
