Easter Cake

Easter is over and we are back at home. Here is a photo of the Easter cake I baked and brought with me to Sweden.

Happy Easter

We have travelled to Sweden to celebrate Easter together with my family. This time we are meeting at my brother's new house. They have moved in recently, so this is the first time we are visiting their house. Tomorrow my parents are also joining, which mean that Liam will meet his grandparents again. They just texted me that they can't wait to see him. Now he is the most popular person in the family. :-)

Below are some photos from our home, decorated for Easter.

Dressed for Success

I had a photoshoot with this handsome little guy when he was dressed up for my birthday. He is easy to photograph, he is curious and interested in the camera. Now we have also been practising to lie down on the stomach and keep the head up. He is really improving fast. In the beginning he got very angry, but now he can lie down for a while without complaining.

Today Liam and I have been on a play date with one of my friends and her two year old daughter. She was really cute to Liam, lending him some of her toys and tried to play with him. Liam just wanted to taste all her toys. :-)

Daddy is working and we are waiting for him to come home. After almost two weeks without him we miss him a lot and can't wait for him to come home.

Birthday Celebration

Sunday was my birthday. This year I had a very peaceful celebration. I don't even think that I should use the word celebration when I talk about it. Hehe... One of my friends came over and stayed here during the day. It was only me and baby Liam at home, daddy was away at work. For my birthday I had baked a brownie cake with a chocolate frosting and fresh raspberries, which we enjoyed.

I got some really nice birthday gifts also. A black Michael Kors tunic, a bottle of Prosecco, a box of chocolate and a gift card for a full day at the newly opened SPA the Well, with my choice of treatments and food. A perfect gift for a tired mother. ;-)

Last year my darling bought me six beautiful champagne glasses for my birthday. They are designed by Efva Attling for Orrefors Sweden. They have a little silver ring with the Latin quote Amor Vincit Omnia, which means Love Conquers All. I like them so much. Around this time last year I also found out that I was pregnant, which meant no champagne on me for a while... This year I decided that it was about time to try my new glasses and celebrate my birthday with a glass of cold sparkling champagne.

Sunny Winter Days

We have had a couple of sunny winter days and since daddy was at home we took the opportunity to make a little family trip. This time our trip was a long walk in the woods to a cabin called Lilloseter, where they have a café. We bought sandwiches and enjoyed them outdoor in the sun.
