My last stop before I returned to Taipei was the Sun Moon Lake. I arrived late in the evening and I had not prebooked a hotel so I just picked one without even knowing exactly where I was. I was lucky! When I opened the curtains the following morning I had a wonderful view of the lake from my balcony. I had breakfast, this time I was not lucky, it was the worst breakfast I have ever had... :-) Luckily they had a Starbucks café not far from the hotel. After the breakfast I was walking along the lake.
